Here is a classic project used to increase wireless signal strength. Cantennas focus using a waveguide very much like a magnifying glass focuses light. [Robert] made a Natural Light beer cantenna, pictured in the upper left. His approach used three beer cans, a paper towel holder, and a shower curtain rod. Today, D.C. based LivingSocial announced the acquisition of BuyYourFriendADrink.com, an automated sampling solution for the beer, wine, and spirits industry. The site was one of the first sites for letting you purchase drinks for your friends that can then be redeemed at bars and restaurants around the country. According to the company’s website, over 20,000 drinks have been served so far.
