Last week we covered the ongoing wall spam problem on Facebook with the Pillow Fight application being one of the primary sources of the spam. We weren’t aware that there’s a way to block the spam, however the developer of the Pillow Fight application commented on our story and provided directions for turning off pillow fight wall posts. Facebook Shuts Down SocialReach For Violating Platform Terms

Last night Facebook took aggressive action to stop the increased level of application Facebooks ads that are in violation of Facebook’s terms by shutting down SocialReach. As I’ve been covering for the past few days, the volume of spam ads on Facebook have been increasing over the past few weeks. Some developers have even been reporting substantial jumps in revenue from these ad networks which is understandable considering how aggressive the ads are.
