A new survey has found that almost a quarter of student cyclists at UK universities have been a victim of bike theft.The survey, carried out by M&S home insurance, found that 22% of student cyclists had had a bike stolen, while 14% had been burgled while at university. Despite this, only 16% of students responding to the survey had taken out insurance to cover their possessions while living in student accommodation. “The economy appears to be at a turning point,” the commission said.
