Worio Gets Search Discovery From Your Facebook News Feed

Worio, the discovery-based search engine, is integrating with Facebook in order to leverage your Facebook activity to help you find information about the topics of interest to you. By looking at the information on your Facebook profile and the activity of your news feed, Worio can provide recommendations for information you may like. The interesting part of this recommendation system is that Worio is able to take advantage of your friends’ data coming through the news feed in order to generate more search discovery tools.

Searching made easy

Remember the Quick Search powertoy for IE? Well, now it’s built in. Load up TweakUI and expand the Internet Explorer menu. Under search, you can create new search options. For example: Create one with a prefix of “g” and a URL of “http://www.google.com/search?q=%s”. Now, to search Google for, say, penguins, all you have to do is type “g penguins” in the Address bar. Nice and easy.

GOLFNation Lets You Mange Your Golf Games On Facebook

A new app powered by Buddy Media is for the Sports Illustrated Golf Group. It’s called SI GOLFNation. The application is a way for golfers to track their own progress and connect with each other. SI GOLFNation is also designed as a way for the Sports Illustrated Gold Group, which includes Golf Magazine, GOLF.com and SI Golf Plus, to connect with golfers as well.
